Systemic lupus -  modern and Ayurvedic view of treatment

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks its own cells and tissues, leading to inflammation and damage to various organs and tissues. Its symptoms include fatigue, muscle pain, facial rashes, joint pain, fever and stomach problems.

Causes
According to modern medicine, the exact causes of lupus cannot yet be determined, but there are factors such as genetics, environment and hormonal imbalances that are believed to contribute.

From the point of view of Ayurvedic medicine, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is considered a condition that is caused by an imbalance of the tridoshas (vata, pitta, kapha) and the accumulation of toxins in the body. Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of balance in the tridosha, which represent the basic bioenergetic forces in the body.

According to the teachings of Ayurveda, lupus can develop when there is an imbalance in the tridosha, which can be influenced by several factors such as lifestyle, dietary habits, environment and hereditary factors.
