Leakage of urine
Undesirable leakage of urine causes from the point of view of Ayurveda VATA dosha imbalance. When urine leaks, the muscles of the bladder, especially the bladder sphincter, are weakened. If the bladder sphincter weakens or becomes uncontrollable for some reason, a person partially loses the ability to control urination.
Causes of urine leakage
The causes of urine leakage include stress, the habit of going to urinate too often, but also < strong>damage to the nerves that control bladder function, such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis, or injury.
Overall, incontinence occurs more often in women than in men, because the urethra of women is significantly shorter. In women, urine leaks when coughing, sneezing, jumping, but also laughing.
This health problem can be helped by using appropriate herbs and exercises.
Main Ayurvedic herbs for urinary leakage
• Ashwagandha – Strengthens all muscles in the body, including bladder muscles. It also improves the transmission of nerve impulses. Significantly reduces Vata dosha.
• Shilajit – It is a rich source of important minerals. Himalayan Shilajit is used in Ayurveda primarily for diseases of the urinary system. In men, it is very useful for problems with an enlarged prostate, which is the cause of leakage of urine in men.
Supplemental Ayurvedic herbs for urinary leakage
• Varuna and Neem – In case the leakage of urine is caused by acute or chronic inflammation of the bladder, it becomes irreplaceable just the combination of Varuna and Neem. These herbs are very helpful for inflammation of the bladder and urethra.
• Brahmi – If the cause of urine leakage is stress / nervousness, we recommend adding Brahmi to Ashwagandha. Brahmi is the basic herb of Ayurvedic medicine for calming the psyche during stress.
