Anemia
Anemia - a modern and Ayurvedic view of treatment
Anemia is a condition characterized by an insufficient amount of red blood cells or an insufficient level of hemoglobin in the body. Its symptoms include fatigue, weakness, muscle weakness, pale skin, nausea and dizziness.
Causes of origin
The causes of anemia can be diverse. From the point of view of modern medicine, it can be caused by insufficient intake of iron, vitamin B12 or folic acid, bleeding, genetic factors or impaired red blood cell formation. From the point of view of Ayurveda, anemia is associated with an imbalance in the tridoshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha - and with a disorder of the digestive tract , which affects the formation and quality of blood.
1. Tridosha imbalance: in Ayurveda, anemia is often attributed to tridosha imbalance. In the case of anemia, Vata dosha imbalance is usually considered to be the main factor. Excessive Vata can cause impaired absorption of nutrients from food and weaken the digestive system, leading to low hemoglobin and anemia.
2. Digestive system disorder: according to Ayurveda, the proper functioning of the digestive tract is key to blood health. If the digestive system is weakened, digestion and absorption of nutrients may be impaired, leading to a lack of iron, vitamin B12 and other nutrients necessary for the formation of healthy red blood cells.

Suitable diet and lifestyle
From an Ayurvedic point of view, it is important to eat a balanced diet that includes foods rich in iron, vitamin B12 and folic acid, such as green leafy vegetables, meat, eggs, nuts and seeds. It is also important to avoid foods that can cause a tridosha imbalance, such as foods that are too dry or cold. Moderate exercise, regular sleep and minimizing stress can also help improve blood health.
